JILL HAFFLEY
HOUSE DISTRICT 16
I’m Jill Haffley, and I’m running to represent House District 16 in the Colorado State House because Colorado needs leaders grounded in service, common sense, and accountability.
For 30 years, I taught U.S. History and Government in Colorado Springs, helping students understand the Constitution, individual liberty, and personal responsibility. A lifetime in the classroom taught me that good intentions aren’t enough—outcomes matter.
I’m a six-time award-winning educator, including Outstanding American History Teacher for the State of Colorado from the Daughters of the American Revolution, multiple citizenship awards from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Diamond Award for Teacher of the Year from the Colorado Springs Rotary—an honor nominated by students themselves.
After retiring, I continued serving as Vice President of the D11 School Board, where I’ve helped oversee multi-million-dollar public budgets, demanding transparency and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
I’m running because families are feeling squeezed, parents want their voices respected, and public safety matters. Government should be limited, focused, and accountable—and always serve the people, not control them.
This campaign isn’t about me. It’s about service—and earning your trust.
ELECTION DAY IS JUNE 30, 2026
